Ronald Lee

Hi, my name is Ronald but you can call me Ron or even Mr. Lee (maybe someday I will acquire a cooler title but for now it works). I am in my 30's. I say this here because if I ever do put a picture here you will ask me for my ID. This is my personal website that is built on Astro. It is a website that I plan to utilize for content creation such as writing and design showcases that I have worked on whether it be in the past or the future.

Over the years, I have played around with different static site generators (SSG) starting with Jekyll, then Gatsby, NextJS, before finally landing on Astro. I like the simplicity and learning curve/documentation of Astro and it is one of the most suggested framework for SSG. I have no complaints and for my purpose so far, it is working quite well.

So who am I?

I won't bore you with my resume or sell myself in this about. If you want to look at my resume it can be found here. I would like this introduction to be less formal.

I am what you call an individual that is hard to be satisfied and am bored quite easily. What I seek is creativity at its most purest form. An illusion so to speak. At the surface level it is simple but at its core, is much deeper with many facets and levels. Something that is indeed quite rare to find these days. Everything is standardized and everything is a copy paste of one another. With AI in the making and gaining traction, another player takes the field to powercreep uniqueness and hide it in the mist.

Ok. Ok. This is a bit not true and an overexaggeration. Standardizations are there for many valid reasons and copy paste reduces workloads when under time constraints; again something that has valid reasons to exist. AI is there to supplement not replace. You get the picture.

However, this is who I am. I am an individual who seeks the holy grail of creativity without the noise and who enjoys working on and enjoying the many aspects that the human mind has to offer.

This has led me to tackle technology after the standard K-12 and bring home a shiny plaque that says I am worthy to use a computer. On computers, I inject it with what few things I know to design something cool such as this website.

As a result, my interests lie among the creative tools which I hope to learn more about as I still breathe.
